Red Passion – Private Collection
 
One of my first floral paintings, Red Passion was inspired by the wild beauty of Australia’s native flowers. After moving to Australia, I was captivated by its tropical flora—vivid, bold, and full of life. Among them, a wild red passionfruit flower in my neighborhood stood out, its striking red petals and intricate center leaving a lasting impression.
Red has always been my favorite color, and I wanted to celebrate its intensity by setting the flower against a dark, rich background, allowing it to glow with depth and vibrancy. The composition captures a moment of growth and openness—one flower reaching upward, its petals unfurling to reveal its extraordinary center.
