Cancellation Policy

Thank you for choosing Elena Valerie Artist (ABN 89618812032) to capture your special day! This policy outlines the key details for booking your live wedding painting and explains what happens if plans need to change. 1. Booking & Deposit A non-refundable 30% deposit of the total agreed price is needed when you book to secure your wedding date. This deposit confirms your booking and covers initial consultation, planning, admin, and materials. Your date is officially secured only once I receive the deposit. 2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Cancellation by You: If you need to cancel after paying the deposit, please let me know in writing ASAP. The 30% deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances. If you cancel after the final balance is paid (due 14 days before the wedding), refunds aren't provided, as significant work, costs, and scheduling commitments specific to your date will have already been made. If Your Wedding is Cancelled: Should the entire wedding be cancelled after the deposit is paid but before the final balance due date, the 30% deposit remains non-refundable. However, as a goodwill gesture, I'll offer this amount as a credit towards a future studio commission, valid for 12 months from your original wedding date. This applies only if the entire event is cancelled (not just the painting service) and you notify me in writing. Rescheduling by You: Need to change your wedding date? Please get in touch as soon as possible! I'll do my best to accommodate the new date if I'm available. Rescheduling might be subject to my pricing current at the time of the new date. If I'm unavailable for your new date, it unfortunately has to be treated as a cancellation (see deposit/credit details above). Cancellation by Artist: In the very unlikely event I cannot paint at your wedding due to unforeseen circumstances (serious illness, emergency, Force Majeure), my liability is strictly limited to providing a full refund of all money paid, including the deposit. No other compensation can be offered. I'll give you as much notice as possible if this occurs. 3. Force Majeure Neither of us is liable if unable to proceed due to a major event beyond our control making it impossible or illegal (e.g., natural disaster, pandemic, government restrictions). In such cases, we'll discuss postponement or cancellation options in good faith. 4. Agreement Paying the 30% deposit confirms you've read, understood, and agreed to this Booking & Cancellation Policy. Thank you!
