Then join us for a two-day masterclass on the Gold Coast where we will be painting flowers from life in the Alla Prima method.
Painting from life has numerous benefits over painting from photos. Not only does it allow you to capture the subtle colors and variations in the flowers, but it also helps you develop your observation skills and learn how to identify, to mix and match exact colors.
During the masterclass, we will be using a live flower as our subject, which will give you the opportunity to see how the colors interact with each other.
In addition to learning how to paint from life, we will also be learning advanced color mixing techniques to help you achieve the exact colors you want in your paintings. This includes learning how to mix colors using different browns and neutral gray colors and creating subtle color variations.
