A Pace That Works for You: We’ve split this workshop over two Saturdays to prevent the stress of rushing. By letting your layers dry during the week, you return to a stable surface on Day 2—meaning your final colours will glide on cleanly and vibrantly, just like you envisioned.

Your Journey Over Two Saturdays:
Day 1 (Saturday, Jan 17): The Foundation of Light. We focus purely on structure. Using a specific "sculpting" technique with white oil paint, you will turn your flat canvas into a 3D form. You’ll leave with the satisfaction of a solid foundation, knowing the hard work is done.
The Pause (One Week): No homework, just patience. This break allows your structure to cure, ensuring your final glazing layers stay crisp and luminous.
Day 2 (Saturday, Jan 24): The Magic of Colour. This is the fun part. Because your underlayer is dry, you can play with glazes and deep shadows without fear of disturbing the form. You’ll watch your peony "bloom" with colour in a way that feels effortless.

To make sure you get the absolute most out of our studio time, we skip the tedious setup. When you book, you’ll receive a step-by-step video guide to preparing your canvas at home.
You’ll learn to sketch without the mess of graphite.
