Hand-painted Border Collie x Kelpie portrait in archival oils on canvas, created in my Gold Coast studio for Kathryn as a loving pet memorial painting. Meg was an active, high-energy Border Collie–Kelpie cross; our aim was to hold her bright, youthful spirit on canvas for the whole family to cherish.

Kathryn shared a close-up reference photo that beautifully framed Meg’s alert eyes and those uniquely shaped ears. At her request, I set Meg in a sunny field with grass and blue sky—the place she loved most on their property.
Painted on a 40×30 cm Classic canvas, the composition focuses on expression and character: the keen collie gaze, the Kelpie confidence, a hint of wind through the coat. Finished in a natural wood floating frame, the portrait feels warm, bright and at home in contemporary Australian interiors.
