Peggy shared a wonderful library of photos. Together we chose the sunset beach image because it tells Kayla’s story at a glance — bright eyes, wind-tossed fur, that classic Border Collie smile. I painted on a 50×40 cm canvas, focusing on her expression, soft whiskers and the gentle movement in her coat. At Peggy’s request, I added the faint nose and paw markings to keep every detail true.
